Van Edom’s Wine, Beer, and Tapas
On the wall of Van Edom’s Wine, Beer and Tapas bar is a map, dotted with pins marking destinations all around the world.
The pins represent the places owners Bart and Haley Van Edom have visited—and the scores of influences that led to the opening of this unique dining and drink experience.
Van Edom’s evolved from Bart and Haley’s personal enjoyment of entertaining and their passion for good wine and beer, good food, and the desire to share that with others. The atmosphere at Van Edom’s is relaxed, engaging, and inviting to everyone—whether you’re an experienced wine connoisseur or someone interested in learning more about unique wines and beer.
Bart’s background in chemistry helps him understand the wine making process, and he uses that in selecting a very discerning and intriguing wine list. His Belgian heritage means that Edom’s has a flair for Belgian beer culture, and a selection of fine beers that rivals its wine cellar.
Wines come from all over the world—France, Italy, German, Australia, and South Africa—as well as from some of the finest vintners in California and Oregon. Many excellent selections are available by the glass or by the bottle. You can enjoy familiar favorites like Kendall-Jackson or Ken Wright Cellars, or try exotics like Moët et Chandon Ice Imperial or Nicolás Catena Zapata from Argentina. You’ll always find something new and fun to experience.
Then there’s the food. A tapas menu is a natural for a wine and beer bar, with small dishes that explode with flavors but don’t overpower the drink selections. These include everything from Oysters on the Half Shell topped with Osetra caviar, to Pretzel Bun Sliders. If you’re thinking seafood, there’s Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon Crostini or Gambas Al Ajillo (Spanish Style Garlic Shrimp). You can pair your Belgian beer with Flemish Stew, which is simmered with Trappist Monk beer. Or you can share a Charcuterie and Cheese board.
Every menu item includes suggested wine pairings for a complete dining experience, or the Edom’s staff will help you select your own.
Van Edom’s Wine, Beer, and Tapas is the culmination of a lifelong dream for Bart and Hayley Van Edom. You’ll find that it’s another great reason to visit Markets At Choto.
