William L. Harvey, M.D.

Dr. Harvey specializes in caring for men, women, and children ages 6 and older. He offers annual exams, sick visits, and school and sports physicals. Dr. Harvey is also a certified medical examiner for the U.S. Department of Transportation, and is qualified to perform physical exams and to complete certificates for commercial drivers. He has special interest in the management of chronic health problems, including diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol disorders.

Most recently, Dr. Harvey was in private practice in Knoxville and Sweetwater, serving the community for more than 30 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, and completed a residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

“I treat each of my patients as though they were a member of my own family,” Dr. Harvey said. “We work together, making the best medical decisions for the patient’s long-term health and well-being. I look forward to continuing that level of personalized care for families in the Choto area and surrounding communities.”

Dr. Harvey moved his primary care office to the Choto location in early December 2017. It offer plenty of parking and an onsite lab. Dr. Harvey sees patients Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
